Bio

Kaeya character Kaeya is a first year Monash undergraduate student who’s studying Business and Computer Science! Ever since her teenage days, she has helped her family business with the technological side of things and even dabbled in administrative tasks, nurturing her love for the business world and technology as they travel around the world to grow their business. Although her university life at Monash is about to start, Kaeya is plagued by some anxiety of the new changes, her travelling family meant she was never at one place for long, so connecting and developing friendships is a challenge that is both exciting and daunting, but a process she is familiar with nonetheless. Realizing each and every person she meets will have preconditioned viewpoints about her, she aims to bring out the best in her and engage in activities to find like-minded people she can be with. Browsing through the Monash orientation website, she is delighted by the plethora of social activities Monash has organised, all that is left to do is to take a deep breath and take a step outside of her comfort zone to put herself out there, with a smile. She hopes the day she steps into Monash, Kaeya will see the real smiles reciprocated back.

Her travels has developed her love for bird-watching, with her favourite bird species being the ‘Albatross’, embodying her free-spirit, desire to travel and see the lifestyle of various different places and seeing how technology has evolved through time. Kaeya has heard the rumours of the legendary Rainbow lorikeets and Kookaburras from her cousins and daydreams about seeing them in all its glory! She also has an appetite for cultural foods ranging all the way from Thailand to South Africa and as her friends would say it, she hopes to one day “taste the world”. Her marvellous adventures and unique encounters are recorded in her leather journal sitting comfortably in her trusty brown backpack. At the back of her journal, two lines are highlighted in a vibrant orange “FIFA 2022 HOSTED IN QATAR!” and “AUSTRALIAN BORDERS RE-OPENING.”
